Naoberschap means Neighborly

Can you imagine my excitement when I found out that Ijs means "ice cream"? It took me a while, what with the fact that this small family dairy farm/camp site also makes and sells their own ice cream - right across the street !
Mary, having recently awoken from yet another nap, was all the inspiration I needed to prove that Holland is a small piece of Paradijs. This is what an Chocolad Aardbei cone looks like (1,70 Euro).

and this is what Mary holding my Chocolad/Aardbei cone looks like.

Meanwhile, Mary got what may constitute the creamiest Vanilla milkshake on record (the creamiest creamshake?).

I got my second (and third) objects from a woman in town, Marika, who does marketing for KiK. One of them was a small spider made from bamboo leaves she got her grandmother (who apparently had both Arachniphobia and a good sense of black humor).

We stuffed envelopes with invites for Monique's "Good Neighbor" (Noaberschap) Soup, complete with bouillon cube, which will happen on Saturday, as well as the call for objects for me to photograph. Tomorrow we will distribute far and wide...

Dinner was potato and egg pie wit Spanish sauce. It really wanted to be a Tortilla, and the sauce wasn't really Spanish because there weren't any peppers in it, but it was still good.
